1. Spray measuring cups with non-stick spray before measuring sticky ingredients like honey, maple syrup, or molasses and they’ll slide right out!
2. When making dough, freeze the butter and grate it into the dry ingredients. You’ll handle the cold dough less, resulting in more tender and flaky pie crusts, biscuits, or scones.
3. Crack your eggs on a flat surface, not the edge of a bowl. No more picking out bits of shell!
4. Avoid
using cold
eggs when baking. You know to bring the butter to room temperature,
but
it’s just as important for eggs - otherwise the mixture won’t emulsify
properly. Place eggs in a bowl of warm water for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Cake decorating made simple! Sweetly Does It Roses Silicone Fondant 10cm Mould has lots of little detailing inside to create intricate shapes and patterns. Other shapes are also available such as hearts, bows, buttons and shells.
6. When storing leftover biscuits in a tupperware or cookie jar, stick a regular piece of bread in there as well. The bread will give out all its moisture and dry up while the cookies will stay moist, soft and tender.
